Pleshette's Pen Name
[edit]The Archive of American Television interviewed Pleshette in February of 2006. During the interview, she said she had written successfully for television under a pen name. She refused to divulge the pen name, claiming that she still used it. Was she bullshitting? If not, does anyone know the name? The interview can be viewed on YouTube. (The part where she talks about writing under the pen name begins at 7 minutes and 38 seconds into the first of the five parts. I hesitate to include a link to the video [posted by YouTube user TVLEGENDS], since YouTube links wind up getting blocked.)
If she did, indeed, have success writing under a pen name, it might be a worthwhile thing to include in her Wikipedia article. I'm having difficulty finding any evidence that she wrote under a pen name. If the information requires sleuthing to be brought to light, it may not yet be Wikipedia-worthy (or, rather, "Wikipedia-ready") information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Circumgoy (talk • contribs) 02:58, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
Possible Pen Name for Suzanne Pleshette, Unproven.
[edit]I watched the Emmy archive interview and saw the portion where Suzanne said she had written screenplays under a pen name. I think I know the pen name, but have no conclusive evidence. Perhaps someone can correct me or verify as true.
I recently purchased a 1992 film called Battling For Baby with Suzanne and Debbie Reynolds among others. It was written by Walter Lockwood and Nancey Silvers. I looked up Walter Lockwood and the dates are right on 4 screenplays. There is also a book published in 1979 called Jones Unbound that is supposed to be written by Mr. Lockwood. No biography or pictures are readily available. Screenplays were produced between 1984 and 1992. The first is a wonderful little comedy that was made as HBO Movie with Mary Tyler Moore. Since Suzanne worked for MTM (Mary Tyler Moore's company) for all those years of Newhart, it is not surprising that she could hand off an unsolicited script from an unknown and have someone look at it. She appeared in the last movie that was written by Lockwood in 1992, Battling for Baby. It has some familiar rings to it. Suzanne and Debbie are artists/musicians as well as grandmothers. Suzanne's character went to Julliard in New York. Suzanne attended NY High School for the Arts.
I am thrilled to think that one of my favorite actresses was also a gifted writer in her spare time. Mr. Lockwood seems to have vanished. Correct me if I am wrong. If you have never seen Finnegan, Begin Again...you must! Great cast, warm humor, and clever dialog.
Anyone have any other thoughts or proof of the authenticity or incorrectness of my theory? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.186.1.140 (talk) 20:31, 5 June 2012 (UTC)

Television Filmography
[edit]Someone needs to add a grid, like the ones for movies and "television films", for the many television series she was in. The easy way would be to use this: IMDB for Suzanne Pleshette — Kaz (talk) 22:18, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
